No matter how hard you try to hide an installed program, people can still find its entry in the operating system's uninstaller. If you really want to remove all evidence of a program's presence on your computer, Hide From Uninstall List can help you take of its entry in "Add/Remove Programs," "Programs and Features," "Uninstall a Program" or whatever Microsoft chooses to call this section next. It only takes a few clicks, so you don't have to go through too much effort to protect an essential program from children or mask a security application.

The application works on Windows XP and all later editions, up to Windows 10. It comes as a single executable, which you can just extract and launch, without going through an installation process. Furthermore, you don't need to have any special tools or services installed on your computer, and you won't notice any impact on your computer's performance.

The software's compact user interface resembles a lightweight uninstaller. It presents all your installed programs in a list, along with publisher names and their current state. All you have to do is select a program and click one of the buttons on the toolbar to hide it or reveal it. Alternatively, you can just click the program's checkbox directly in the list.

There is no need to go through any further steps, once you check or uncheck a program. The software will hide or unhide it instantly, without asking for any further user input. This way, you can be sure no one will stumble upon programs you don't want others to see. If you have, for example, a parental control or employee monitoring application, you can hide their uninstaller entries immediately, to make sure no one will find it and uninstall it.

Besides hiding important programs, you could also use Hide From Uninstall List to see if there are any hidden entries you don't need anymore. Certain programs may leave some traces behind after you uninstall them, and this can include Uninstall entries for some components, which don't regularly show up. Another thing you can do is hide all critical programs and services, not only to protect your system's integrity from accidental program removal but also to make things look more organized. For example, there are numerous MS Visual C++ entries, and, since you're probably not planning to uninstall any Visual C++ version anytime soon, you could just hide the entries.

With Hide From Uninstall List, you can protect your important programs and bring order to your uninstaller, at a moment's notice, with nothing more than a few clicks.

Pros

You can hide or reveal programs from the Uninstall list with a single click. The software is lightweight, it doesn't need to be installed, and it doesn't use a significant amount of disk space, RAM or processing power.

Cons

There are no serious drawbacks to address.
